About Us

Our History

Tektōn’s founders have a unique perspective on project execution, an intertwined background and years of experience working together. Joel attended The Ohio State University where he received a bachelor's degree in Architecture. Nick attended Bowling Green State University where he also received his bachelor’s in Architecture. Through college, Joel and Nick both worked in the engineering and general construction fields. Upon graduation they returned to Zanesville where Joel pursued project management working for a large general contractor. Nick began working as a project manager for a local architectural firm. One focused on the front-end design, the other on the construction. In 2014 their paths crossed when Joel helped Nick get a position in business development at the same company he was working for. Joel and Nick worked closely together in design, estimating and project management holding various roles within the company. After working side by side for nearly 8 years they decided to leave the corporate world and take a leap of faith. In 2022, they formed Tektōn Construction Services.
